Piper FAQ

Question: Do I have to order the Dell computers from Live Oak Computing? Can I just get the Piper software CD, and use it in computers I already own?
Answer: In order to maintain our low pricing, Live Oak Computing can only support the Piper CD on computers purchased from us. Before we ship each Piper, we test our software CD to ensure it will support the various hardware components like the video chip, monitor, and wireless networking interface.

Question: How much counter space does a Piper require?
Answer: A Piper computer needs 24-27 inches of counter depth, allowing enough space behind it for the cords and enough in front for the keyboard and mouse. To allow for a comfortable amount of space for the customer, Live Oak suggests a minimum distance of 12 inches between Pipers, or between a Piper and a wall on the side of the counter. Pipers themselves are 16 inches wide.
